behind every smile

The basic thing is that everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering. And happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than from external factors. If your own mental attitude is correct, even if you remain in a hostile atmosphere, you feel happy.

-Tenzin Gyatso, 14th Dalai Lama

How are we when struggles invade our very own lives? Know yourself in your most vulnerable times. Are you the kind of person that will go with the flow of problem that puts you down or are you the type of being that will kick against the situation until you won the battle?

Sometimes, when you are with your friends and having good laughs, you're cheerful even though the middle portion of you is bleeding inside. But, when you are alone, are you still the same blissful person as you are when you're with you're friends? Reflect.

It's fascinating to think that the most funniest people you know are those that carry heavy loads in life. Can you imagine how strong they are? They came from a broken family, yet they are happy. They go through financial crisis, yet they are happy. They don't have food on their table, yet they are happy. What about us?

In good times, praise God. In bad times, still praise God. It's not that He wants you to suffer but instead, He wants you to be disciplined. He is a friend, communicate with Him through prayer.

Keep praying, He is listening. :)
